The Arts Dot is a dynamic art experience and part of “Citizen Dialogue for a Creative Karlskrona”, taking place during the Karlskrona Archipelago Festival. We bring together international and local artists and the public to explore the exciting intersection of technology, art, and community. This year, we invite you to discover monumental digital showcases, a vast collaborative painting, and engaging live events that will inspire and connect us all.

International Art Exhibition at the Galleri Chapman. Exhibition Dates: July 29 – August 1, 2025. Address: Drottninggatan 15B, Karlskrona. Opening Hours: 12:00-18:00. Vernissage: 29 July kl 16:00-18:00. Free admission.
The Grand Screen Experience at the Karlskrona Blue Port Studios, Blåportsgatan 10, Karlskrona. Be captivated by a monumental indoor showcase of digital art from international and local artists, presented on a spectacular 25-meter screen at Blue Port Studios. Exhibition Dates: Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31. Exhibition Sessions: 15:00 – 16:00 (30 July); 10:40–11:10, 12:00–13:00, 14:15–14:30, 15:45–16:00 (31 July). Free admission.
Modular Art—A Collective Creation. Witness our 20-meter-long collaborative artwork, built from 200 individual paintings created by artists from our community. All works will be sold to benefit local charities. Exhibition Dates: July 29 – 31, 2025. Opening Hours: Wednesday, July 30, 2025: 14:00 – 17:00. Thursday, July 31, 2025: 10:00 – 17:30. Free admission.
Live Painting and a creative outdoor activity on Stumholmen. Unleash your own creativity at our community live painting event! A fun, hands-on activity open to all ages and skill levels. Date: August 1, 2025. Time: 10–12; 12–14; 15–17. Location: Stumholmen, Karlskrona (Outdoor activity). Details: Drop-in event – no pre-registration needed. All materials provided.

Various talks will cover a wide range of topics, including collaboration on the creation of XR experiences from physical art, the development of augmented reality (AR) installations involving citizens and local communities, the intersection of digital and physical art, immersive virtual reality (VR) drawing, film projects, virtual production techniques, and discussions about XR experiences and innovative business models for innovation hubs.

Behind The Arts Dot, you’ll find the dedicated members of the art association Konst i Blickpunkt who will bring this event to life, with a passion for art and a wealth of knowledge and experience.
